Let’s Go Apple Picking

Apple picking, anyone? If you’re looking for a huge variety of local apple orchards to choose from, I have some bad news. While the list is small, it’s mighty and just bursting with fun fall family activities! Though you won’t find PYO apple orchards directly in Queen Anne’s, Kent, or Talbot, there are several nearby spots that offer everything you need for a great day out with the kids. Think apple-filled adventures, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and the kind of fresh air that makes fall so special. So, grab the kids and head out for a day of apple picking and making memories that’ll last well into the cooler months!

U-Pick Hours: Fri and Sat 10am-4:30pm, Closed Sunday

U-Play Hours: Mon-Sat: 10am -4:30pm, Closed Sunday

U-Play events include: tractor train rides, corn maze, tubing mega slide, jumping pillows, pedal tractors, zip swings, corn crib, rubber ducky races, super slides, funnel ball, tire tumblers, wall ball, pumpkin pad, farmer foosball, roller bowlers, harvest hoops, teeter-totters, barnyard croquet, fresh eats, sweet treats, and a pumpkin patch. On Saturdays there are also farm animals, live music, face painting and an apple cannon.

Millburn Orchards

U Pick Hours: September: Sat/Sun 9am-4pm, October: Sat/Sun 9am-5pm, November 1, 2, 3: 10am-5pm

U-Pick reservations are required. Admission includes a tractor ride to the orchards.

Milburn’s Big Backyard play activities include: boo barn, king kong ping pong, bale trail straw maze, corn maze adventure, hayride through the orchard, giant spider web, rowdy rodeo, cycle circle, barnyard playground and buddies (farm animals), grain cart basketball, rat race track, gigantic sand dig, roller bowler, ground hog hill, tractor tire tower and more.
