Local Non-Profit Spotlight
With Tides of Grace now open in Centreville, we want to take a moment to share the heart behind this incredible nonprofit. Year after year, they’ve been a lifeline for struggling families and individuals in our community.
Below, Founder and Executive Director Leann Rhodes-Ickes shares their mission and how we can all come together to support or receive the care and services Tides of Grace so passionately provides.
Tides of Grace: Making a Difference in Our Community
At Tides of Grace, we believe in the power of community, compassion, and support. Our mission is to provide essential resources, outreach programs, and special events to uplift individuals and families in need. As a fully volunteer-based organization, we rely on the generosity of donors, sponsors, and volunteers to continue making a meaningful impact.
What We Do
Tides of Grace is dedicated to serving our community through a variety of initiatives, including:
- Monthly Outreach Events – Providing clothing, food, hygiene items, and other necessities to those in need.
- Seasonal Drives & Giveaways – From back-to-school supplies to winter coat distributions, we ensure families are supported year-round.
- Community Resource Center – A welcoming space for essential meetings, mental health awareness classes, NA meetings, self-care workshops, youth groups, and more.
- Pop-Up Boutique for High School Seniors – Offering free prom dresses and suits so every student can enjoy this milestone event with confidence.
- Special Events – Bringing the community together with activities such as free haircuts, baby showers for expecting parents, senior citizen gatherings, and more.
