💛 A Personal Note from Chrissie

When I started Shore Kids Adventures, it was a passion project — a way to help local families discover fun things to do on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. I never expected it to grow so quickly or connect with so many amazing people.

In less than a year, Shore Kids Adventures has grown to over 3,800 followers, and our website has had over 19,000 views since launching in December 2025. Our Facebook and Instagram channels have reached more than 511,000 people so far this year — all organically, through grassroots community support and a whole lot of heart.

I’m incredibly proud of what this little project has become — and even more grateful for the families, small businesses, and local organizations who’ve cheered me on and partnered with me along the way. ❤️

💼 What’s Next for Shore Kids Adventures

Right now, I’m navigating some major life changes — and as part of that transition, I’m beginning to explore flexible or part-time work opportunities that can help provide additional stability for my family.

Because of this, I’ll be scaling back Shore Kids temporarily. That might mean fewer posts, a lighter event calendar, or a more relaxed pace for a little while.

But I’m not closing the door — not even close.

I still believe deeply in the mission behind Shore Kids Adventures, and I’m hopeful about continuing it in some form. Whether that’s through creative collaborations, part-time partnerships, or evolving into something new, I’m open to conversations about what the future could look like. If you’re someone who shares a heart for supporting local families, I’d love to hear from you.

💬 About Me

If we haven’t met yet — hi! I’m Chrissie, a marketing and communications professional with over 20 years of experience in:

  • Community outreach and relationship-building
  • Social media marketing and promotion
  • Web content strategy and SEO
  • Graphic design and branding
  • Family-focused programming and local tourism

I’ve worked with universities, nonprofits, associations, and small businesses — and most recently, I’ve been running Shore Kids Adventures as a one-woman show, managing everything from event coverage and sponsorships to social content, email newsletters, and web development.

I’m especially drawn to work involving the arts, education, tourism, family services, and community building. I thrive in creative, mission-driven environments — especially those that help people feel more connected to where they live.

If you hear of a remote, local, or family-friendly opportunity that seems like a fit, I’d be honored if you’d keep me in mind.

🙏 Thank You

Whether you’ve followed Shore Kids since the beginning or just stumbled across it recently, thank you. Your encouragement, shares, messages, and kind words have truly lifted me up during a season of change.

If you’re a business owner, nonprofit leader, or community partner interested in supporting or shaping what’s next for Shore Kids, I’d love to hear from you. And if you’re just here to follow along, that means the world too. 💛

No matter where this journey leads, I hope Shore Kids Adventures can continue to be a helpful, trusted part of your family’s life — in whatever way I’m able to offer it.

With gratitude,

Chrissie
